Login Problems
|
VolunteerMatch login information is space and case sensitive. Be sure that your CAPS lock isn't engaged and that you're not adding an extra space in either your username or password.
If you continue to experience difficulty logging in, visit www.volunteermatch.org/util/check_browser.jsp. Complete the Browser Diagnostics form, notifying us of your specific problem, and then click Send Diagnostics. VolunteerMatch will review your diagnostics information and then respond with additional instruction on how to successfully login to your account.
Cookies VolunteerMatch stores information in a small text file, called a "cookie," on your hard drive. Cookies typically contain information about you and your preferences for the Web site.
A cookie can store only the information you provide, or the choices you make, while visiting a Web site. For example, a site cannot determine your email address unless you send it to the site, such as by submitting it in a Web form. Allowing a Web site to create a cookie does not give the site access to the rest of your computer, and only the site that created the cookie can read it.
By default, most browsers save the cookies they receive. You may have changed the settings on your browser to alter the way it handles cookies, and that change may be affecting the way the VolunteerMatch site functions for you.
Below are some outlines on changing the settings for your cookie behavior. Select your browser form the list below. If your browser is not on this list, please review the help documents provided with your browser.

If this still does not allow you to log in to your account, you might consider clearing your browser's cookies and cache. To clear your cookies, go to the Tools menu in your browser, select Options or Internet Options, and click "Delete Cookies" or "Clear Cookies."
When you view a web page, your browser stores a copy of the page and its linked files, such as picture files, in the cache. These temporary internet files are stored on your hard disk.
Clearing your cache of older versions of web pages (including VolunteerMatch pages) should also help enable you to successfully log into your VolunteerMatch account. The "Clear Cache" or "Delete Temporary Internet Files" tool is found by going to the Tools menu and selecting Options or Internet Options. |
